Skills and Experience

As a director my credits are informed and supported by my experience and original training as an actor and 5 years’ experience as a drama teacher/head of department in a Hackney school. This has enabled me to direct a wide range of theatrical forms with actors at varying stages of their careers. I have a broad and extensive knowledge of theatre practitioners and have worked closely with a number of theatre companies, most recently Complicite. I have experience of directing classical texts, new writing and devised work. I am currently working under the guidance of Paul Sirett in development of my own work for performance as both my dissertation at RADA and at London fringe venues.

I have vast experience of the planning and delivery of workshops to a number of different participants in various contexts. I have delivered workshops in Leeds, Edinburgh and London at venues including The Globe, The Barbican, RADA, Birkbeck, University of Leeds and Carriage Works Theatre amongst others. I have devised and ran a number of community theatre projects including T.I.E in primary schools, prisons, adult and youth theatre groups. I have recently (August 2013) been appointed as Resident Director of Youth Acting Company at New Wimbledon Theatre and Resident Practitioner at The Almeida Theatre.
