George Bamby trained at Arden Drama School, Manchester, and has played a number of small roles in “Coronation Street”, “Emmerdale”, “Heartbeat”, “Cracker” and “Brookside” over the years.

He then went onto compere snooker exhibitions and travelled the world with World Snooker favourite Jimmy White.  this turned into a ten-year career having hosted over 300 live shows with Jimmy, Alex Higgins, John Virgo, Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby and others.

He has written and produced two feature films “Stepdad” (2007) and “Snappers” (2008).  During his research for writing the movie “Snappers” he went to work as a paparazzi photographer for 6 months and to his amazement became addicted.  His photographs have appeared in practically every national newspaper worldwide.

Along the way he has also appeared in “Win My Wage” Channel 4, “Britains Behaving Badly” ITV, “Home Away From Home” BBC1, “Brainteaser” Channel 5, “Explosive” MTV/RTE, “GMTV” ITV.

He was also the subject of a book “George’s World” by Madison Webbe.
